About

Perspectives in Asian Leisure and Tourism is an academic journal that welcomes all topics in the fields of leisure, tourism, and hospitality. Asia is a natural focus given the quickly growing nature of leisure and tourism in that part of the planet in the 21st century. However, our readers and authors are located in all parts of the world and share an interest in these topics. As such, we welcome all related submissions to the fields of leisure, tourism, and hospitality.

Focus and Scope

Perspectives in Asian Leisure and Tourism publishes articles that reflect emerging knowledge across all areas of leisure, tourism, and hospitality. While the journal welcomes research with an Asian focus, submissions need not be specific to that region, as research in these disciplines frequently yields insights that are transferable across geographic contexts.

2) Anonymous main document without author names or identifying details

Be sure to include an abstract (<400 words) and 3 to 6 keywords in your main document

Peer Review

This journal features a double anonymous peer review policy.

Submissions to Perspectives in Asian Leisure and Tourism are evaluated based on the following criteria:

Clarity and Quality of Writing
Manuscripts must be well-written, logically structured, and presented in polished, professional English. Authors should ensure that their language is clear, concise, and free of grammatical or typographical errors.

Topical Relevance and Timeliness
The manuscript should address a timely and relevant topic within the fields of leisure, tourism, and/or hospitality. While research with an Asian focus is encouraged, submissions need not be limited to Asia, as findings in these domains often have broader applicability.

Methodological Rigor
The study must be grounded in sound methodology, with clearly articulated research questions or hypotheses, appropriate data collection and analysis techniques, and well-supported conclusions. Both qualitative and quantitative approaches are welcome, provided they meet accepted standards of academic rigor.

Authors are encouraged to carefully review their manuscripts against these criteria before submission. Submissions that do not meet these standards may be returned without review.
